Before Building In Hoverlay, We Needed To Build A Roadmap For Our Experience.
After drafting ideas with the team, I delivered our user flow guide, a document outlining the progression of steps users will take during our experience from beginning to end. It has been the groundwork for how I have begun crafting our AR spaces inside Hoverlay.
Working closely with our Asset Manager, Zen, I have started constructing the main hub space, as well as our Earth Day space. We quickly faced our first hurdle with Hoverlay's limited file capacity. Some 3D objects, particularly the ones we have created using Meshy AI, have proven to be too large to be supported by Hoverlay. The large files consistently overload the AR space, making the user experience extremely sluggish, even outright crashing the application at times.
Despite this, we are making progress within Hoverlay. I have two functioning spaces and am continually optimizing them to accommodate our assets. As we continue working, the shape of our experience becomes more defined, and our vision begins to present itself more clearly.
