Josephine Butler Meshy And Additional Research ChatGPT Help

During the beginning of when we were all trying to gather information on Josephine Butler and get to know much more about her and all of her achievements and accomplishments. There wasn’t really as much information as we thought there would be on her; it was difficult to gather up as much info. With the help of ChatGPT, I was able to find more videos of her that she had a big impact on. One of the videos was her on the 25th annual Earth Day. She only talked for about 2-3 minutes, but this helped in our research on her. This gave us more about her than we were looking for. Then I was able to find a cooking video she did with Hilda Mason discussing statehood. It was from a random channel that uploaded it; this was the only other clip I found of her as well. YouTube-wise wise other than the trailblazer video, my group was able to find. With the help of chat, I was able to find these videos, and we plan to use them in our AR experience in Hoverlay. Other than that, I’ve been editing a video we plan to use for our Hoverlay experience as well. I've been editing it for a bit now. It’s a video for our Josephine Butler Earth Day experience area. It is just a simple cutout for her speaking on Earth Day. I did this so that the user can just focus on her speaking and nothing else during the experience.

Something else I was working on that helped Zen a bit with the 3d making with Maya, etc is… Meshy A.I. I remember one day during class, we were trying to see what assets, videos, or any other research we could gather on Josephine.  I just recall Garrett on this day saying I wish there was a way we could use the images we gathered of Josephine Butler and make them into 3d assets. With this, I had a light bulb moment, I would like to say, and started looking up online or ChatGPT to see if there were any free websites we could use to do this and use this for our experience after a few different tests on different websites or finding that some weren’t really truly “free”, I stumbled across the Meshy A.I. website. With Meshy, not only were we able to use this image to 3d assets feature, but we now have a few different models to use for our experience that are very clean cut and done well from this website, Meshy. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in turning their images into 3d assets. This helped us and saved us time on having to build out 3d models of her. Now we can use these models, fix them up in Maya, and make them more “clean cut”. Meshy is completely free for the first month for students, and after that first month, you have to start paying 5.99$ monthly, which isn’t a bad deal. It is a credit-based system as well, so for what we are doing, we are giving 1,000 credits, and each image to 3d Asset is 20 credits, so not a bad deal.

Now we are starting to build out everything. We are starting to build out the experience in Hoverlay to test it. I’m editing this video and getting ready to send it to Ricky, who is a member of the group, so he can test it out to see if it works, etc. I’m very excited to have this project built out and have it up and running. I’m very confident in the group members we have. With myself, Zen, Ricky, Garrett, and Alexis, the 5 of us work really hard and well together. I’m looking forward to what's to come.
