Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. For me that's our neighborhood pub Brewley's Pint. These images are some of my favorites from this year from two separate events (well, 3 if you count this cover photo, which is from an art and music event on March 22, 2011).
One was the 80s party hosted by Brewley's on April 26, 2011.
The other event was the Jeans for Justice Fundraiser hosted at Brewley's by one of their bartenders, Tandy Hare on May 16, 2011.
Thanks to fellow photographer Michael J. Slezak who, about the shuffleboard shot, said, "Very interesting lighting. Looks like a fun time playing that game, I want to go there and play that game now after seeing this photo. Great shot really, a great composition, all the angles and the people and the way they are looking makes for a great composition. Great patience on your part. I know what you mean about being patient and anticipating the perfect composition, and waiting until all the elements line up. It is so great that you can see all the faces, and that their line of sight is all at the game; makes for great visual dynamic somehow, all the angles and lines of sight." I really appreciate sincere compliments like this one!
