Yes, this is a #dailysketchext fashion flats kinda post. I wanted to show you the flats croquis underneath. There is a center line on the flats croquis and to make our flats we fold a piece of tracing paper and then match the fold up with the center line on the croquis. We only draw one side of the garment and then take the tracing paper off the croquis and trace the other side of the garment off of the one side already made. This way you can ensure you are making it symmetrical. (Incidentally, this method also shows up how this particular croquis isn't entirely symmetrical.) Also, notice how this croquis looks more like the proportions of a real human? That's because flats croquis are supposed to be more realistic. They even have plus size flats croquis and all that. It's just the fashion illustrations croquis that are 9 heads of unrealistic.
