More #dailysketchext glorious homework 😁 I am really happy to report that I am getting a lot better at doing this faster. This makes me happy. And yes, I know the girls are skinny. Try not to think of them as people because they aren't. After all their calves are 3 heads high and absolutely no one's is. This reminds me of a rant I've been meaning to give. I do get that these are technical drawings and that they have become the standard for conveying fashion ideas, but really, aren't we going about this quite a bit backwards? Remember a long time ago before ready-to-wear, when clothes were made for the person, the figure that would wear them? They were constructed around the person's figure and fashions were made for the sake of the body. Now everything is backwards. Designs are cooked up in a designer's brain to be pretty and edgy and the latest newest thing, and they are designed with drawing them on a croquis in mind first. So now the people come second to the clothes. In fact, instead of making clothes that fit people we make ourselves try to fit into the clothes. Now our bodies are for the sake of the fashions. This is backwards. We need to do something about this.

And of course, what I mainly mean about all this is it's got to start inside us. Don't ever be intimidated by these skinny drawings. They are just an illusion, like magazine covers they are constructions that do not actually represent something real... While you work on that I'm going to try to figure out how to comfortably draw some croquis that will satisfy me as well as my teacher... Fashion is an interesting thing...
