Today's #dailysketchext is more croquis practice, and I don't know if you can see it or not (it depends on the size of your screen) but we are finally learning a little bit of the S curve, as I'm showing in the full length croquis on the right. One of the important factors in making a drawing that looks believable (even if it's proportions are not) is making it look like it can actually support its own weight in the way it is standing. Right now in practicing the 3/4 turned figure we have to make sure that when we move the croquis around, she is still balanced over a middle axis (even if she is curved or arching in some way), otherwise you end up with poses that look unrealistic and people will tell you that there is something wrong with your drawing (even though they won't know what it is).
