Well, Well, Well. This Is It. What A Semester
It has been with the group I’m glad I was able to paired with such amazing peoplewhocared and put enough effort into our project this is the final stretch our final week together as a group on this project the onewe spent half the semester oncountless hours in the classroom even outside of class talking about our project really caring about it and even each other making sure everyone is on the same page with everything that everyone was assigned with. It’s all over. I'm proud of my group, Alexis, Zen, Garrett, Ricky, and me. From picking out this person and discovering
that she did so much, I’m talking about Josephine Butler. It just amazes me how, still to this day, not enough info was brought up on her, and I’m glad we were able to make this AR experience explaining her more in depth, I hope. I hope that whoever tries our experience really appreciates what we did to bring her story to life and enjoys the time and effort we put into this.
Now, to talk more about what I did for the final weeks of classes. So in my last blog post, I was talking about how I needed to figure out the rotoscoping for our Josephine Butler. Good news: I was able to figure it out. I kind of became a pro at it when needed, but I was able to do the rotoscope for her, and just for the project, I was asked to add a green screen video of her in the background that is on there now as well. For our trailblazer video, more so just for the experience, one of the notes we got from 51 Steps is to shorten the clip even more, so that’s what we did as well. I brought it all the way down to 16 seconds which sounds crazy but works because in the Trailblazer video the person talking about JB pretty much goes into detail about how a huge impact she had and we still have the youtube video clickable link available still in the Hoverlay experience as well that whoever is viewing our project and wants to watch more on her they are able to watch the youtube video on her on their own free time. Last but not least, I am in charge of a new video as well, just something done really quickly: a short TikTok-like clip of our full AR experience that can be shown on our blog, which our lovely group member Alexis Evanoff crafted for us to post all of our work. One last thing, I was also featured in the project for one of the examples in the experience as well. But other than that, that's all it is from me on all major updates.
I can’t wait for the final final version of our Hoverlay experience with everything added. It is going to be such an amazing experience for the people, and I can’t wait. We put a lot of effort into this and learned so much from this new program in just one whole semester. I hope everyone enjoys it when we put this out.
