As I was getting ready to post this One Down and 3.6 To Go by Ben Folds came into my head. This is from an art show at the San Diego Central Library earlier this year. Sometimes I feel this way. Right now I'm a little more excited than usual because I have a goal I'm working on, but it is very easy to become discouraged, so give your local artist a hug today. Tell them that you like their work (if you really do), because a lot of people are quick to complain and point out what they don't like because it somehow feels safer to do than giving out compliments. And if you are an artist (which I think we all are in a way, or meant to be) give yourself a hug, go buy yourself a treat or something because you do great work and, hey, because it's Friday.
