This comic book/sci-fi character that I created for an excuse to do production design/art direction has a lot to think about. She is an orphan and has never known her parents. She has always been a little strange--she is the only person with one green eye and one violet one. She grew up in this world and felt that she never really fit into it. The society around her is corrupt and has been for a long time. There once was a ruler here, during her childhood, who cared for the people and life was good, but when he had to go take care of some problems in another part of his realm, he took his top government officials with him and left one of his sons, who was also a government official, in charge. When the ruler and the government officials with him took a long time to return, the son began to change. He began to become greedy and take advantage of the people. He dismantled the social systems that took care of the people. Leaving Lara Jones, as an orphan, to fend for herself. Fortunately, she was always good at science and archeology, and she earned a scholarship at a good school. While there, she began to uncover the truth about the world she lives in and about its past. Also, while studying these things, she met a secret underground army that are fed up the the corrupt ruler's son and want to overthrow his government. She must decide what side she wants to be on. Will she help the underground army or will she sit on the sidelines? Sometimes neither decision seems to be the right answer...
