This is a public Thank You shoutout to Advanced Somm Wendy Shoemaker for the Thorn merlot (from The Prisoner Wine Company) because when she suggested this merlot, I wrinkled my nose and said, "I don't like merlot" to which she answered, "but it's a Napa merlot" (which isn't really an answer) and made me take it anyway. I've had Napa merlot that I didn't like, but she was right, this one was good. The wine was sweet and thoughtful on my palate, and it went well with the homemade/handmade pasta and sauces from Pasta Espresso in PB
