This #dailysketchext was surprisingly more difficult to photograph than usual (sometimes that photographer experience sure comes in handy!). This sketch is partially referenced from the #6 pose in the Coco Rocha & Sebring Revolution app Study of Pose and is another mix between a graphic novel/comic book character and a fashion illustration. I think the reason why I keep doing that is because my creative brain is currently living somewhere in between the two... and holding a camera... and a sketchbook... (This was done with prismacolor colored markers and colored pencils on semi-transparent paper. I learned today that copic marker blenders work much better than the prismacolor ones. I will continue to try other brands and see which ones I like best. While this is fun and yields better color saturation, if you want to sketch in ink first and then color over I highly recommend using pastels instead of all these fancy things until you want to do something more. The results are similar and easier to execute when you are just starting out. Now, show me your sketches! [or your musical talents, whatever])
