Blame it on the Vicodin! Today's belated #dailysketchext is about the evolution of a sketch. From left to right is the progression. This pose was kind of complicated to capture the spirit of and translate into a croquis, so I started with just trying to get down the gesture of it on the left. That's why it's a stick figure. I was trying to capture the essence of it. If you can get that part down, the substance of it, then it's easier to do the rest with the right expression that you are trying to convey. The third one from the left is my favorite, but for the croquis I had to do it the croquis way, so the final is the one on the right. What do you think?
