Whata week! This Friday's #dailysketchext is courtesy of my fashion sketching class; today we learned about hands. Did you know that in fashion the three most popular hand poses are the side view, the fist, and the oblique? Neither did I. I also didn't know what an oblique hand is. In case you don't either, it is the hand on the bottom of the page in the middle. You have it resting on a hip or something like that. The class is finally getting fun, by the way. Even though she showed us how to do hands like this, she said that this is just a starting point for people who feel insecure and she really wants us to get photos of hands (or draw from life!) and just copy what we see. Yay! So that is my next homework. Any ladies want to come over to my place and be a hand model?
