They are having a Christmas 5k with dogs and their people this morning down the street from my apt. My favorite pair was this guy having his dog pull him on a skateboard. This is the way to race with your dog ;-)
PB is kind of an interesting place. Take this for example: the average income in PB is $75,000 a year (source: Discover PB Business Improvement). These people who make $75,000 a year are calmly doing their thing side by side with the homeless man sleeping on the bus bench next to them, and he seemed to be just as comfortable right back with them (possibly for today only because everyone is an exceptional mood today). The buses aren't running down this street today because of the 5k and the parade so everyone is just kind of hanging out here. What was also interesting is that we passed this homeless man sleeping here a couple of times and each time we passed someone had left more food or drink for him as he lay there trying to dry out and warm himself in the sun.
